September: Six Month Open – Images must be taken after March 1, 2017. Can be any subject. This topic encourages people to develop a new portfolio and participate in or lead upcoming club field trips. The images could feature Spring, summer travels or seasonal activities. It could also feature skills that you obtained or projects you worked on over the summer months.

October: Plants and Animals – Images of living, non-human organisms (plants and/or animals), either wild, captive, or cultivated.

November: Details, Details – Images of objects (buildings, vehicles, animals, trees, etc.) in which details are emphasized (shapes, decorative elements, patterns, etc.) instead of showing the entire object.

December: Holiday Party

January: Reflections – Images in which a reflection is included as an important element.

February: Open – Can be any subject

March: Shadows – Images in which one or more shadows are important elements. The object creating the shadow may or may not be shown.

April: Old Everything – Images that clearly depict the advanced age of humans, animals, or objects.

May: Critique Session

June: Photo of the Year Competition – Members get to vote for the photo of the year from all of the entries for the year, advanced and novice.
